Interview

I believe that I have what it takes to be part of a college golf program. I am very disciplined, highly motivated, and self-driven. I set high goals and I dream big. On most occasions, I am successful. When I am not, I look at areas that I can improve upon and achieve success if given another opportunity. I play hard and work through the chal-lenges of all 18 holes, not just the front 9, and I work hard in the classroom and other areas of my life all day, not just part of the day. In fact, I enjoy the everyday obstacles that life presents, and like to find ways to overcome them.

I love competition. I love golf. I love learning and look forward to the academic challenges at my college. I love teamwork. I think, me on a college golf team, combines all the above and would put me in a “dream come true” position. To be playing alongside highly skilled and accomplished golfers, to be part of a team that has similar aspirations as myself, to be in a classroom being challenged by college level academics, to be pushed by my coaches and professors to greater achievements…this is why I want to be a part of a college golf team. To be able to travel to other colleges for competitions, to meet and make friends with golfers around the nation, to represent my school, and to have an opportunity to be able to make an impact for my school: these challenges would undoubtedly make me a better person and I would be extremely humbled by the opportunity.

Although, I am not certain of my career path, I am confident that my academic credentials so far should assist me in gaining admission to a great college academic program. Although I am not certain, I plan to major in Biology or Chemistry and further pursue my education in genetics.

Golf Goals: I hope to have the golf coaches, golf teams, golf competi-tions and the friendships I make in golf, to lay a foundation for my life. The discipline, diversity of people, structure, honesty and experi-ences from golf will allow me to grow into a leader, and I will pass these teachings and behaviors onto my community and to those who I have interactions with throughout my life. If my skills continue to improve throughout college and I have an opportunity to pursue a career in golf after college, I wish to give this serious consideration.

Life Goals: With or without golf, I wish for a very fulfilling academic experience at my college. I believe that my primary academic Golf Goals: I hope to have the golf coaches, golf teams, golf competitions and the friendships I make in golf, to lay a foundation for my life. Life Goals: With or without golf, I wish for a very fulfilling academic experience at my college. I believe that my primary academic degree will allow me to continue the study of a field of science. I have an interest in genetics, medicinal research and development and I believe that maybe someday I can be a part of a team that is involved in trying to solve health issues and bringing solutions that will alleviate or solve certain human health conditions and illness.

I received the Academic- All American Award in 2017 and 2018 for my academic and athletic accomplishments. I was also chosen to be Varsity Golf team captain for the 2018-19 season.
