Interview

I am a very ambitious and dedicated player who always wants to improve his strengths and weaknesses with every given opportunity so I can become the best possible version of myself. I’m a versatile player who is good at dribbling and creative with the ball. Also, I’m quick and maneuverable and I have a good technique to shoot or cross the ball.

A friend and fellow player of mine asked me if I would consider the possibility of going to college, because he thinks I’m very suitable because of my qualities on the pitch.

Moreover, he used to play with the scout Christopher Griebsch at Carl Zeiss Jena and told him about me. Also, I already had the chance to combine school with soccer and I would love to do it again in America.

I want to build a good foundation for my future, both athletically and academically. Also, I want to speak English fluently and gain as many experiences possible in a new country.

My soccer goal is to become the best player I can be, train hard and compete on the highest possible level to achieve my ultimate goal of becoming a professional player in the MLS or in Europe.

Soccer is my greatest passion, which I have been doing for over 14 years now, and I want to compete with the best players to show what I can do and help the team get the win.

Later in my life, I want to be a sports teacher because I like to work with children and people that are now in my age group and help them to achieve their goals and teach them important things in life. Sport is the most important thing for me in my life, after my family, because I always want to overcome my own limits and get better in every kind of sport.

While I played soccer I started swimming and achieved the Junior Lifeguard Badge at the age of 13.

I went to the Poelchau-Oberschule: Elite Sportschool (where only the best players from Berlin in my age were allowed to go) from 2010 until 2014, where I had 4 weekly extra exercises besides the Training in my Club. I was able to train with the best players and coaches in Berlin, for example Jordan Torunarigha, Maximilian Mittelstädt and Arne Maier (all of them are professional players of Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga).

In 2017, I worked for 4 month with immigrants to integrate and support these children into our country, training them in soccer and swimming, but also help them with their problems and conflicts at the Spreewald-Grundschule.

As it is my dream to become a teacher later, it is an important and educational time.
