I want to compete in college soccer because I feel it is the best option for me to accomplish my professional and sporting dreams, which would not have been possible in the country I live in. Also, I will have the possibility of getting to know a new country with a culture completely different from what I’m used to, where new doors may open through my talent and hard work. These opportunities will help me improve, learn and construct my sporting, academic, and profes-sional future. If I’m given a chance to compete in college, I will be honored and grateful to know that the collective effort of my family, mentors, coaches, and my perseverance has finally brought me one step closer to achieving my lifelong dream.
To obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science
I want to reach my highest potential academically, personally and pro-fessionally. My purpose is to seek valuable opportunities while ob-taining a college education and thus continue developing my greatest talent, which is being a soccer player. My dream is to be seen by premier leagues and have the opportunity to play for the MLS in the future. Although I have had these dreams since a very young age, I have not have access to a college education and further development of a soccer career in Colombia due to the lack of economical and pro-fessional support. Having in mind that a soccer career is short com-pared to other careers, it is crucial for me to have a degree so I could further continue my professional growth in a parallel field of study.
My objective is to combine a career in sports science and my talent playing soccer. I have extensive experience over 14 years, characterized by my hard work and discipline, which will enable me to thrive in both required attributes and to leave a lasting impact on the college team I will proudly represent.
