Interview

Ever since I started playing golf in May of 2013, there were always players at my club that were better than me. My desire to become better than them has been the driving forward with this game. I am fully aware that the only way I could surpass them is to work harder than them with focused training. The past 5 years I have dedicated my whole life into golf.

Every school holiday I´ve set my alarm at 6 am and cycled my bike 7.5 miles to the golf course, to be there from 7 am until the sun goes down. I´ve practiced and played harder than any other player I have ever met. My determination and willingness to reach my goal of winning a PGA tournament is what makes me different from anybody else. I will always work harder than anyone around me.

My main goals are to successfully develop both my studies and my golf game. With playing college golf, I am planning on developing my game and making it as ready as possible for my professional career. I look forward to becoming part of a competitive team where we can support and learn from each other. When playing for a team, it forces me to bring out my best to help the team as much as possible. At that point, it is not just to develop my game for myself, but also for the whole team.

Every year Jonas Blixt hosts a massive junior competition in Sweden… the “Jonas Blixt Invitational” which is played at Hammaro golf club. It´s a national competition and played over 27 holes. Last year I managed to get first place with the scores 70 (two shots over the course record) – 36.
In January, I was invited to Jonas Bilxt’s house in Jacksonville where I got to play and practice at TPC Sawgrass. It was a fantastic experience to play the course and spend time at his house, seeing what his everyday life as a PGA-tour golfer looks like.

Seeing him, makes me realize my goals are in line with his.

I was born in a town called Karlstad, Sweden. When I was 2 years old we moved to a town called Milton Keynes, England. I went to school and had lots of good friend there. When I was 7, we moved back to Karlstad, Sweden, and I have lived here ever since together with my mom, dad, two younger sisters and a younger brother. I´m really into sports, and I have tried almost every sport you can imagine. All from skateboarding to archery. Now I´ve finally found the sport for me in golf.

Since last year I´ve been working with a different coach for golf since at the Karlstad golf club. I´m now training with Fredrick Eliasson who was announced Sweden’s coach of the year in 2011 and with Anna Dahlberg-Soderstrom. Fredrik has coached many players over the years who have reached the professional and international levels when it comes to golf. Even players that have have won on the European tour, PGA tour and LET. Fredrik and I work on the technical parts of my game while Anna then works on the mental and strategic side of my game.
