From age 6-12 I did Karate where I was German Champion 4 times in ”Kata” (traditional movement performance) and 1 time in ”Kumite” (fighting).

I would describe myself as diligently with a special work ethic. Doing Karate in the past has coined numerous of my personal characteristics. I am motivated, disciplined and strong minded. I know how to fight alone, but how to play in a team too. This is very important for Golf. I know that you compete as a single player but you also how to put effort in for the college team.
Additionally I work 3-5 times a week in the gym to build up my strength and explosive power for my golf swing. I can already see that the extra hours pay off since I can repetitive hit my driver with a speed of 130+mph to produce a ball speed of over 190mph. The fastest swing I recorded recently was 140.9mph.
I am very good in balancing sport and school. It is one of my strength to have an effective time management no matter if it is for my golf sessions or homework.
I want to play Golf my whole life so in college I want to unleash my full golf potential. Since I joined Merchiston Castle School in Scotland I love to compete in a team and practice with Golfers in the same age and golf level. It is great to play competitions against other schools from the same region or even a different country. This is why I want to be a part of a college team in the future.
It is also a new step for me to move to the US during my time in college. This will broaden my horizon since the facilities and the spirit to the game of Golf is completely different. I want to enjoy every part of my athletic journey and help to make a college team better than it was before.
The US and College Golf is the perfect spot to combine my studies and Golf.
Besides Golf I also want to study and get a degree. I am very interested in sports science or sports medicine. I definitely want to work with top athletes my whole life.
My favourite aspect of Golf is the competition against myself because I can always find something which was not good enough. There is always room to improve and the game can never be perfect. This gives me even more motivation so keep working.
I love hitting wedges so I try to shoot as many performance tests on Trackman as possible. My highest Score was 91.4 from a distance of 105-140 yards. If I don’t have access to a TrackMan I use our localPar 3 course to improve hitting numbers in real life situations.
In my free time I like to refresh my mind by playing the piano.
In social groups I am a natural leader with a strong personality. The best example is that I am a Senior prefect in Merchiston Castle School. In the academic year 2022/23 I will be Head of House for the 6th form boarding house. This shows that I am very reliable and that I can take responsibilities.
I am currently team captain at Merchiston Castle School. I am very proud to say that we started at ranking no. 5 (in September) in the whole UK and finished no. 2 after the first half term (mid of October). We finished 6th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st in the latest 4 events. This makes us no. 1 Golf school in Scotland and no. 2 Golf school in the whole UK. https://www.isga.co.uk/senior-school-rankings/
