I’ve been playing volleyball since I was six years old. At first it was just a hobby, but now it is my mission in life. I want to be noticed for my creativity, I love to take risks and to follow my instinct, which makes me unforeseeable and surprising to my opponents. In addition, I never lose control, especially in those difficult situations where my team needs me to be focused on the game. In the last years I have played in different teams depending on the offers I received, so now when I change my teammates I immediately become very emphatic with them and I think this is a great skill for a setter. I have been an opposite hitter for many years, and now as a setter, I still like to take aback the opponents with second-touch spikes. I love to astonish people who watch me playing and to leave everyone’s mouth opened. I know I can become a great player but to do it I need to be surrounded by people who love volleyball as much as I do to bring out the best in me: I have played volleyball for 11 years and now I’m ready to show to the world what I can do, I only need the right opportunity.
Playing volleyball and studying literature: this could be the recipe of my perfect life. Unfortunately, in Italy it isn’t possible to do both things without giving less importance to one of them, and that’s why I would love to go to college in United States. I studied for a couple of weeks in the US this summer and I had the chance to see some sport matches: while I was in those stadiums, full of people making noises and supporting their teams, I felt like I was exactly in the right place, and I want to feel that emotion again and again in the next years.
I will be a model student: I want to study literature, which is one of my greatest passions and I know I will never be bored of it. I will study with zeal, interest and diligence and I know that this will lead me to impressive results as it has always done.
My goal is to live a life I don’t need a vacation from; volleyball is certainly an important part of this “perfect life” I dream. I grew up practicing this sport and I want to keep on playing as long as I can. I want to become one of the best players ever, staying humble but aware of what I can do. Then I want to teach literature, because knowing something without handing it down to other people is useless, and I want to keep studying as well, because there will always be something to learn.
I’m an actress and I’m in the Italian National Institute of Antic Drama. Apart from playing volleyball and going to my theatre classes, during the year I regularly go to my parish where I help for free other students doing their homework. This summer I went to an international camping village where I taught to little children how to play volleyball, and there I had the chance to achieve a higher level of English, French and a basic level of Dutch. I have been my class’ representative for three years. In 2017, I was chosen between all the students of my school for a project in the Legislative Council of Tuscany and in October I went to Montecitorio (Rome) as part of the Italian Parliament of the Students. This year I’m going to participate to another important project with one of the most important pharmaceutical companies of Italy.
