LOOKING FOR A BOWLING SCHOLARSHIP?

BOWLING SCHOLARSHIP?

Americans love bowling and bowling is one of the most played sports in America. This is why gaining a sport scholarship for bowling can be hard due to the high number of applicants. Universities and colleges award bowling scholarships to very talented bowlers, which enables the athlete to participate in collegiate, intercollegiate matches and national championships. If you are a male athlete you are able to gain a bowling scholarship.

When is the best time to get an American Bowling Scholarship?

The best time to go to the USA with a sport scholarship is right after graduation from high school or up to two years after. Only athletes’ ages 18 – 24 can compete within the college leagues, any older and you will be looking at competing in the NAIA. Coaches are increasingly committing to younger athletes as this gives them the opportunity to work with the athletes for a longer period of time. It is also possible to go to the USA for one to four years, depending on what type of degree you are seeking. We would recommend going to America as early as possible because this will give you the best chance of gaining a sport scholarship and turning professional after college.

Bowling scholarships – How good do you have to be?

Athletic bowling scholarships can be achieved if you are at the right level. For good bowlers, on the level of Division I, the chances to receive a full scholarship are relatively high if you know who to contact.

In order to gain the most opportunities from your profile and thus receive higher scholarship offers, it is important that you try to participate in more national tournaments in the time prior to starting at a U.S. college. This will show college coaches that you are able to compete at a high level

If you are competing at national level then you have a great chance of receiving a 100% sport scholarship. Coaches will also look at an athlete’s potential, it’s a vital aspect, as coaches know from experience that even moderate athletic performance can be boosted immensely with their intensive training methods. A college recruitment coach will decide on an athlete based on their sport CV, the athlete, photographs, video and our staffs’ advice regarding the athletes’ ability.
