I transitioned my athletic focus to golf during COVID-19 in 2021 when my family was living in Mammoth Lakes, CA. I initially learned golf as a family hobby. I picked it up again in a very small rural town (Bishop, CA). I started my first 9-hole competitions in Reno, Nevada after 4 months of lessons and daily practice. I have loved golf ever since!

And, I started golf relatively late, at 13 years old after playing competitive soccer in Los Angeles, CA and skiing on the All-Mountain team in Mammoth Lakes, CA.
I’m a really focused and determined person and since I’ve started competitive golf have wanted to improve at a fast rate. I convinced my parents that in order to keep improving quickly I study online. My first year was self-directed at US Performance Academy. This year I have switched to Dwight School online where I get more interaction with other students and teachers in an International Baccalaureate program. The IB diploma program is very strenuous and I have to really manage my time between training and school.
I also have traveled to France and Spain to train and play tournaments. In 2023 I stayed with a host golf family by myself and was a visitor on an academy there. I enjoyed the independence from my family in a structured environment. I also played in two tournaments while I was there and won one of them.
I would like to be part of a team and also continue to improve. I played in Southern France for 4 months and got exposed to team competition because their golf system is focused not only on individual results but also “home” club competitions. I was able to practice with a team every day of the week and really enjoyed the friendships and I developed. Playing in the junior golf programs in the U.S. is mostly individual.
Also, since I’ve only played golf for 3 years I believe that I have the opportunity to continue to improve my game and I’m very excited about the sport even though it’s very challenging especially mentally.
My goals are to major in something that is interesting to me which right now is business. And also to play golf in a competitive collegiate environment where I continue to improve and reach my goal of being a scratch golfer. I’ve always traveled with my family and explored new places so I would like to play golf anywhere in the U.S. except California since I lived there through 9th grade.
I don’t know yet but maybe a business focused on golf.
I also am fluent in French because I went to a bi-lingual French school since I was 4 years old so a career that is international and can use my language skills. I hope to learn Spanish more fluently while I train in Spain too.
Two of my closest mentors, who are in their mid-60’s played golf in college and then afterwards in the European and Asian tours. Their stories and memories are amazing and I’d like the opportunity to create some of those experiences.
I love the sport of golf and all the different people I’ve met through playing these last 3 years. Since I have taken online school since my Sophomore year I’ve played mostly with people in their 30’s to 70’s! I have learned to interact a lot with adults not just my age group and enjoyed the varied friendships I’ve made especially in France and Spain.
