I am a player that has the flexibility to play both left and right, but I’ve been working on becoming a defensive player for a year now.

Interview

My resume will probably look like on average but the main difference between me and the other players is this one: if I find myself in front of an impassable wall, I definitely find a way to get past it at the cost of throwing down. This attitude is part of me in all the experiences I’ve done, from volleyball to school. For example when I moved away from home 4 year ago, I was the youngest player in my team. It was hard, but with humility and will power I gained the respect of the other players and overcome the initial obstacles.
Besides that I am never completely satisfied. When I reach a goal, there will be always a bigger one in front of me. Those are the differences between me and a regular volleyball player.

Since I was younger, I have been having the dream of playing in a U.S. college, and I have never been so close to realize it. First, I think that spending my university period in the most competitive country in the world can give a real boost to my career and my cultural baggage. Second, I really like the division of the academic year, which let me focus better on the studies and volleyball, allowing me to excel in both fields. Third, I really like the opportunity of sharing the life with international teammates.
I believe that the experience in an American college will let me grow faster on a professional and sport level.

My objectives are focused on two main areas: studies and sport. Regarding the first one I would like to develop a strong formation based on a theoretical and experience-based approach that will let me able to work in an ever-changing job environment. Regarding the second one I would like to challenge myself playing at a higher international level. I want to compete in college because it gives me the opportunity to carry on both my careers. Plus, I love the experiences away from home because I really like to learn the traditions of other countries such as the United States, which from an early age impressed me very much.

Since 4 years I have been living away from my family to become a volleyball athlete. This experience was strong but it gave me the opportunity to challenge myself and understand better both my personality and the world around me. I am young so my life goals are working-in-progress but for now I realized that I have a lot more to discover and I want to take advantage of every opportunity I have to do it. The world need people willing to make it a better place. My objective is to be part of this group. I perceive myself as a fast car which it doesn’t stop until it wins the race.
