Interview

Despite not being overly tall, I hit it far. I consider myself a very good match play player. I am also a fast learner here, because golf is a passion and at the same time my biggest motivation in life. I believe that, in the right place, I can grow more and go far.

I live 50 km away from my home club and I consider myself lucky. In Portugal, there are not that much options for golf players, and I honestly think that I will never reach my full potential if I stay in my home country. I want to have the chance to grow in a much more competitive league, with the right training and guidance, and play side-by-side with players from around the world. Besides, studying in the USA has always been a dream of mine. As a kid I used to say that I would be playing soccer and studying there, but now it’s studying and playing golf that I want to do more than anything.

I wish to grow as a person and a player; to expand my horizons, to learn more about the world and the American culture in a great college, and at the same time improve my level as much as I can in golf.

I wish to play on the PGA Tour, among the best of the best, and inspire other Portuguese young players. Then, I would like to teach golf in the USA and help young kids to enjoy and play great golf.
