Interview

I have only been playing tennis very ambitiously since July 2022 because two years ago, I made the decision to shift my focus entirely to tennis, transitioning from gymnastics, which I still enjoy, although on a lesser scale.
In that short period of time, less than a year, I have made a huge athletic leap in performance class, German ranking list, and ITF ranking. I started in Summer 2022 without a women’s ranking in Germany. In October 2022, my German women’s ranking was 496, in January 2023 it was 436, and currently it is 380.
Other players of my skill level have all played at least twice as many matches and tournaments in their lives to achieve a ranking that is very similar to mine.

Playing College Tennis has been one of my biggest dreams ever since I was thirteen. Playing on a college tennis team in the USA will help me improve my technique and my tactics, and will expand my tennis network at a university, where I can achieve the highest possible academic degree at the same time as, and in combination with, professional sports. It will also help develop my tennis game, both mentally and physically.
My passion for tennis, and especially for competing against other very good tennis players at tournaments, is huge. I want to improve my game every day, and I am willing to work hard for my goals. Matches against other teams will help me reach a higher level in tennis.
I believe the tennis players on college teams in the USA are very motivated and passionate about tennis, and the atmosphere of the teams is familiar, supportive, and engaged. I want to meet new people who love tennis as much as I do. I am looking forward to gaining new experiences and making unforgettable memories.

Academically, I want to earn a Master’s degree that will help me gain practical experience that I can use to propel my career, and long-term, I hope to become a doctor.
Working hard, making good connections with my teammates, and staying healthy and injury-free are the most important goals for me, and that is what I hope for and expect from my future tennis team and from my experiences in the States. I want to become the best player I can be and play better than I ever have. I aim to win as many matches as possible for my college tennis team in order to be a significant addition to that team.
In addition to tennis, travelling is one of my biggest passions, and I have been to the States several times. I have already seen a few parts of the country, but I would like to see much more of it, from its big cities to its natural outdoor areas, all of which fascinate me. I would like to see as much of the country as possible while in college there.

My life goal in terms of tennis is to play in ITF/WTA tournaments over the next few years, and to make a name for myself in the world of tennis. In addition to tennis, I would like to become a doctor with my own medical practice. Further down the road, I would like to be able to provide a good life for my children, providing them with lots of educational and sports opportunities.

I am a very sports-minded person, and because of that, I play almost every sport. I ski, windsurf, play soccer, and do gymnastics, to name just a few.
My other hobbies are cooking vegetarian meals and baking. I love to try new recipes and to eat healthy.
Since I have gotten my tennis-trainer license , I coach 15 kids once a week.
I went to Vancouver, BC, Canada last year as an exchange student. My goals were to become more independent, to learn English, and to have new experiences, all of which I achieved. In the six months that I lived there, I met lots of new people and learned a tremendous amount, all of which added to my personal growth.
