I have 3 years experience in track and field.
I decided to train for the 800m and this year I ran 1.56.76 in the first competitive semester.
Now, I’m training for 1:55 or 1:54 this year. My idea is get over 1:49 in 2 or 3 years more.
I think I can improve a lot more because I have improved so quickly and I do not have the best conditions to train in my city or university.
My life has been hard, living away from the city, limited and long train hours. I’ve lived alone for months, away from my family and not always in the best conditions. I’m used to training in cold weather, very hot weather or at very high altitudes above the sea. I am a persevering and responsible person. I am psychologically hard to beat, very competitive, with the ability to intelligently analyze things that happen.
Something that stands out above all things is I know how to work under pressure.
I know the level at the athletes in NCAA and I want to earn championship titles with my university.
I would like people to remember my name in Outdoor or Indoor Track and Field. I would also like to improve my English.
I want to be a professional and have the capacity to face the world of work in the best way possible. I would also like to learn and contribute my knowledge to the world, encourage sports and a healthy lifestyle. I would like to be be more than a sportsman, a good person.
My track and Field goals:
800m: 1:49’ and less
1500m: 3:45 and less
I want be a finalist in the coming years for NCAA Track and Field National Championships.
I come from a hardworking and sporting family. My brother was a professional soccer player in Chile. My parents have been teachers for 30 years and they are my inspiration. I have been an athlete all my life. I played professional football from the age of 12 to 18 years at a very competitive level but did not have the necessary skills to continue into adult football.
