Arrival in Paradise: Training, Study, and Community
From my first day at FIU, it became clear to me that I had landed in paradise. The warm welcome from the staff and students made it easy to feel at home. Breakfast in the cafeteria with scrambled eggs and tropical fruits quickly became one of my favorite rituals.
Living on Campus: More than Just a Home
Living on campus has greatly enriched my university experience. The atmosphere here in Miami, characterized by palm trees and sunshine, is incomparable. The camaraderie and closeness to my friends have made life here especially enjoyable.
Training and Competition: The Spirit of Miami
The training routine is intense, but FIU’s top-notch facilities, from the basketball arena to the treatment room, provide optimal conditions. Game days, especially against rivals like Charlotte, are eagerly anticipated highlights.
Internationality and Integration: A Global Family in Miami
The modern student residences and proximity to the stadium make campus life unique. I greatly appreciate the ability to reach training or lectures in just a few minutes. Living with roommates from different countries enriches each day.
Graduation and Gratitude: Looking Back
My time at FIU is coming to an end, and I look back with gratitude on the experiences. The support from Athletes USA and Warubi Sports has opened doors that have changed my life. Miami is more than just a place to study; it is a dream come true.
