#1 draft pick gone wrong
After a successful collegiate career through his rugby scholarship, Dodson was expected to be the first overall pick in the draft. He was viewed as the top player for his skills and his readiness to contribute to the team. Even though Dodson did all the paperwork with the help of his coach, there was some mix up with Dodson’s eligibility status and some wrong news that were published. His future career in the MLR was threatened by these wrong allegations.
Major League Rugby welcomes Cameron Dodson
In the end, it all worked out for Dodson since he landed a contract with his top pick at Austin Gilgronis. His dream is to represent the United States as an Eagle in the near future. Dodson assures that the future is bright for the MLR’s upcoming drafts and seasons.
